Philips FY1413/40 Active Carbon Filter – Price, Compatible Models & When to Replace
The Philips FY1413/40 Active Carbon Filter is a genuine Philips replacement part for the Philips AC1210, AC1211, AC1213, AC1215 and AC1217 air purifiers. At Sparemaster it costs ₹1,575 (MRP ₹1,995, 21% off), with a GST invoice and shipping across India.
Which Philips air purifiers does it fit?
Philips AC1210 (any AC1210/xx variant)
Philips AC1211 (any AC1211/xx variant)
Philips AC1213 (any AC1213/xx variant)
Philips AC1215 (any AC1215/xx variant)
Philips AC1217 (any AC1217/xx variant)
Check the model number on the sticker under or behind your purifier before ordering – filters are model-specific and a filter from a different series will not seal properly.
What the FY1413 filter does
It is the active carbon layer. Carbon does not catch dust – it absorbs gases and smells: cooking odour, cigarette smoke, VOCs from paint and furniture, and the smoky smell of winter pollution. When the carbon is used up, the purifier still blows air but the smell comes back.
When should you replace it?
Your purifier counts filter hours and shows a filter-replacement alert when the filter is used up; some models stop running until it is changed. In Chandigarh and North India, winter smog and Diwali smoke load filters much faster, so the alert often comes earlier than the usual one-year life. Signs it is due: the alert light is on, airflow is weaker, the purifier stays on high all the time, or a smell comes back.
After fitting the new filter, reset the alert – see our guide When to Replace Your Philips Air Purifier Filter (and How to Reset the Alert).
Replace the pair together
These purifiers use two filters. The matching one is the FY1410 HEPA Filter (₹1,916).
Genuine vs duplicate filters
Cheap copies often use thinner media, little or no real carbon and a loose frame that lets air bypass the filter – the purifier's AQI reading stays high and the filter-life counter no longer matches reality. We sell only genuine Philips filters. Read more: Genuine Philips Air Purifier Filter vs Duplicate.
