Philips FY2180 HEPA + Active Carbon Filter – Price, Compatible Models & When to Replace
The Philips FY2180 HEPA + Active Carbon Filter is a genuine Philips replacement part for the Philips AC1758, AC2936, AC2939, AC2958 and AC2959 air purifiers. At Sparemaster it costs ₹3,925 (MRP ₹5,195, 24% off), with a GST invoice and shipping across India.
Which Philips air purifiers does it fit?
Philips AC1758 (any AC1758/xx variant)
Philips AC2936 (any AC2936/xx variant)
Philips AC2939 (any AC2939/xx variant)
Philips AC2958 (any AC2958/xx variant)
Philips AC2959 (any AC2959/xx variant)
Check the model number on the sticker under or behind your purifier before ordering – filters are model-specific and a filter from a different series will not seal properly.
What the FY2180 filter does
It combines a HEPA layer and an active carbon layer in one filter: the HEPA layer traps fine dust, PM2.5 and pollen, and the carbon layer absorbs odours, smoke and gases (VOCs). One filter does both jobs, so this is the only filter you need to change.
When should you replace it?
Your purifier counts filter hours and shows a filter-replacement alert when the filter is used up; some models stop running until it is changed. In Chandigarh and North India, winter smog and Diwali smoke load filters much faster, so the alert often comes earlier than the usual one-year life. Signs it is due: the alert light is on, airflow is weaker, the purifier stays on high all the time, or a smell comes back.
After fitting the new filter, reset the alert – see our guide When to Replace Your Philips Air Purifier Filter (and How to Reset the Alert).
Genuine vs duplicate filters
Cheap copies often use thinner media, little or no real carbon and a loose frame that lets air bypass the filter – the purifier's AQI reading stays high and the filter-life counter no longer matches reality. We sell only genuine Philips filters. Read more: Genuine Philips Air Purifier Filter vs Duplicate.
