What the FY2422-FY2420 filter does
It is a set of the two filters these purifiers use together: the HEPA filter (traps fine dust, PM2.5, pollen and smoke particles) and the active carbon filter (absorbs odours, smoke smell and gases). Changing both together restores full performance and costs less than buying them separately.
When should you replace it?
Your purifier counts filter hours and shows a filter-replacement alert when the filter is used up; some models stop running until it is changed. In Chandigarh and North India, winter smog and Diwali smoke load filters much faster, so the alert often comes earlier than the usual one-year life. Signs it is due: the alert light is on, airflow is weaker, the purifier stays on high all the time, or a smell comes back.
